The question of Toby Fox wife has become increasingly common among fans of Undertale and Deltarune. While Toby Fox is one of the most recognizable independent game developers and composers in the world, he has always maintained a relatively private personal life.
Unlike celebrities who regularly discuss their marriages, partners, children, and homes, Fox has kept most relationship information away from the public spotlight. As a result, several websites and social-media posts make claims about his romantic life without providing reliable evidence.
The most accurate answer is that Toby Fox does not have a publicly verified wife. There is no reliable public documentation identifying a spouse, confirming a wedding, or establishing when Fox may have married. This does not prove that he is unmarried; it simply means that his marital status and the identity of any potential partner have not been publicly established through dependable sources.
That distinction is especially important because some online discussions about Fox and Homestuck creator Andrew Hussie have been mistaken for factual relationship history.

His personal relationships receive comparatively little confirmed coverage.
Some celebrity relationship websites list Fox as single or provide information about his supposed dating life. If Fox has a private partner or marriage, he has chosen not to make those details a significant part of his public identity.

The Andrew Hussie and Toby Fox Marriage Rumor
One of the most unusual stories associated with searches for Toby Fox’s wife involves Andrew Hussie.
Andrew Hussie is the creator of Homestuck, the webcomic for which Fox contributed music. Their professional connection is genuine and dates back to Fox’s early career as a composer.
However, an internet joke involving Fox, Hussie, and the fictional character Sans has sometimes been interpreted as evidence that the two were married and later divorced.
There is no credible evidence that Toby Fox and Andrew Hussie were married.
The supposed “divorce” story is best understood as fandom humor rather than a documented relationship event. Online communities frequently create jokes around creators, fictional characters, and events from their work, and these jokes can later become detached from their original context.
For that reason, readers should not use the Andrew Hussie story as evidence of Toby Fox’s marital status.
Toby Fox Personal Life and Privacy
Toby Fox’s privacy is one of the defining characteristics of his public image.
He is much more visible through his creative work than through conventional celebrity appearances. Fans know him for his games, soundtracks, writing, and online personality, but comparatively little reliable information is available about his romantic relationships.
Fox has also been associated with the Annoying Dog, a recurring character and visual representation connected with his work. This has allowed him to maintain a distinctive public identity without turning his everyday personal life into entertainment.
His approach is very different from celebrities who use relationships as part of their publicity strategy.
For someone like Fox, the absence of information about a wife or girlfriend should not automatically be interpreted as evidence that he is single. It simply means that the public record is limited.
Toby Fox Net Worth and Financial Success
Although the main focus of this article is Toby Fox’s wife, his financial success provides important context for his public profile.
Fox became internationally known after the release of Undertale in 2015. The game’s success created multiple potential revenue streams, including game sales, music, licensing, merchandise, and intellectual-property opportunities.
However, Toby Fox’s exact personal net worth has not been publicly verified through audited financial records.
Several websites publish estimated figures, but those numbers can differ significantly and should not be treated as confirmed wealth.
A responsible assessment should distinguish between the commercial success of Fox’s intellectual property and the amount of money he personally owns.
His potential income sources include:
- Video game sales
- Music composition
- Soundtrack sales
- Licensing
- Merchandise
- Intellectual-property royalties
- Collaborations with gaming companies
- Related creative projects
The exact percentage Fox receives from any individual commercial arrangement is generally private.
How Toby Fox Makes Money
Undertale
Undertale is the project that transformed Fox into a globally recognized independent creator.
Released in 2015, the role-playing game became a major success because of its unusual storytelling, memorable characters, distinctive gameplay, and highly recognizable soundtrack.
Fox worked on the game’s development and composed its music. Its long-term popularity has created commercial opportunities beyond the original release, including merchandise and other licensed products.
Deltarune
Deltarune became Fox’s second major game property.
The project introduced a new story and cast while retaining thematic and creative connections to Undertale. Its chapters have generated substantial interest among fans and established another important intellectual property for Fox.
The commercial structure of Deltarune also demonstrates why estimating Fox’s wealth purely from game prices would be misleading. Revenue can be affected by platform arrangements, development costs, distribution, taxes, publishing agreements, and other expenses.
Music Composition
Fox is also an accomplished video-game composer.
His early involvement with Homestuck helped establish his reputation for game-related music. Later, he contributed to projects involving major gaming franchises.
His work connected to Pokémon is particularly notable because it placed his music within one of the industry’s most recognizable entertainment properties.
He has also contributed music to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and other projects.
Merchandise and Licensing
Official merchandise provides another commercial avenue connected with Fox’s intellectual properties.
Fangamer has sold official Undertale and Deltarune merchandise, including clothing, collectibles, plush products, books, music, and other items.
However, the existence of a large merchandise catalog does not mean all sales revenue belongs to Fox.
Merchandise companies, manufacturers, retailers, licensors, and other participants can share revenue. The exact financial terms of individual agreements are generally not public.

The game was developed independently and quickly developed a dedicated global following.
Its success demonstrated that an independently created role-playing game could achieve major cultural influence without being produced by a traditional large studio.

The game attracted immediate attention from Undertale fans and established a new long-term creative project.

Major Achievements

He also created Deltarune, another highly anticipated game that continued his distinctive approach to storytelling and music.
Fox’s work as a composer has extended beyond his own games. His involvement with Pokémon and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate demonstrates the level of recognition he has achieved within the broader gaming industry.
His music has also become an important part of video-game culture. Tracks associated with Undertale, particularly “Megalovania,” have achieved recognition well beyond the game’s original audience.
Assets and Lifestyle
There is relatively little verified information about Toby Fox’s private assets.
He does not have the same highly publicized luxury lifestyle associated with many traditional celebrities. Reliable information about his home, cars, investments, and personal possessions is limited.
This makes precise claims about his lifestyle difficult to verify.
It is also another reason why online net-worth figures should be treated as estimates rather than financial facts.
A successful game creator can have significant intellectual-property income without publicly displaying expensive assets.
Toby Fox Relationship Status
The question of Toby Fox’s relationship status remains unresolved from a public-information perspective.
There is no reliable evidence establishing a wife, husband, girlfriend, or boyfriend.
Similarly, there is no dependable public information confirming that Fox has children.
This does not mean that these things do not exist in his private life. It means that they cannot responsibly be presented as established facts without stronger evidence.
For a celebrity who deliberately maintains privacy, respecting that distinction is especially important.
